where can i find a simple source to determine the approx value of antique furniture and tools?

i have several pieces of old furniture, probably from 1800's, maybe some from England. also have some old tools, some hand tools and some power tools. what is a simple reference source to determine the approximate value of these type items? thanks for any help.......ray

I’ve seen some books at the bookstore which lists approx values. Go browse your local store.

You can also call local antique shops. Some shops use a local appraisal company/person. Get a recommendation. Or check your local "Yellow Pages". They should offer one for free.

Take them to an antiques dealer, the bigger the better, and ask them what they are willing to buy for and what they appraise them for.
